Attractions

Zangto Pelri Lhakhang - The place remains the first attraction for every traveller visiting Phuntsholing. It has the replica of Guru Rinpoche, and you can explore the grand eight life size idols of various manifestations of the Guru here apart from various statues of Bodhisattvas, paintings of Lord Buddha etc. It is a popular place of worship among devotees who flock here to worship several deities.

Karbandi Monastery - Another serene place here is the Karbandi Monastery. Founded in the year 1967, the monastery astonishes the visitors with its imposing, huge statues of Shabdrung Ngawang, Guru Rinpoche and Shakyamuni Buddha. It is believed that married couples visit here from all over the world to pray for a better future.

Amo Chhu Crocodile Breeding Centre - It is another must visit attraction of Phuntsholing. This breeding centre houses various species of crocodiles and alligators, which can be spotted living in their natural environment.
Bhutan Gate - The admirers of culture and tradition can head to this place to experience the best of Bhutanese architecture. As you enjoy a stroll here, you will be showered with glimpses of great architecture which looks awe-inspiring.

How to Reach Phuntsholing
Phuntsholing does not have an airport or railway. Siliguri is the nearest large city here with two railheads - New Jalpaiguri and New Alipurduar.
