Ajmer

Among all the ancient wonders of Ajmer, the name of Akbar’s Palace always wins a top place. The monument flaunts sparkling artwork and inscriptions. Do check out the two imposing stone walls surrounding the Akbar’s Palace. A part of the palace has been converted into a museum where ancient treasures, stone sculpture and miniature paintings have been put into display.
For some moments of peace, spend some time along the Ana Sagar Lake. This man-made lake was built by Maharaja Anaji between 1135 and 1150 AD. From the lake you can catch enchanting views of nearby temples. Do not miss taking your camera to capture memorable moments spent here.
Buland Darwaza of Ajmer has also become a major landmark in the city that catches the attention of all with its Islamic design. The gate rises to a height of about 176 feet and marks the victory of Akbar over Khandesh and Ahmednagar in 1576.
