Thirumala Venkateswara Temple remains the most visited temple of Tirupati. This Hindu temple sits on the seventh peak of Tirupati Hills named the Venkatachala. The temple has been beautified with intricate Dravidian style of architecture and houses a huge eight-foot tall idol of Lord Venkateswara which is worshipped by the pilgrims visiting here.
Papavinasam Teertham is another spiritual wonder in Tirupati which holds great importance among locals. It is believed that the holy waters of Papavinasam waterfalls clean away all the sins and purify the soul. For some moments of serenity, spend some time along the Swami Pushkarni Lake resting within the holy premises of Thirumala Venkateswara Temple. It is said that that Lord Venkateswara took a bath in the water of this lake.
Tirupati also has natural wonders like Silathoranam having historical marks on it. This is a significant heritage site which remains one of the few natural bridges in Asia. This natural rock formation is perfect to click some amazing pictures. For some moments of peace, visit TTD Gardens sprawling over an area of 46 acres. From here around 500 kg of flowers are supplied every day to the Tirupati Balaji Temple and many other temples of Tirupati. Here you can explore numerous varieties of flowers, including hibiscus, bougainvilleas and crotons.
