It was raised around 1460 by Rao Jodha and has seven gates, expansive courtyards, a museum, Armoury, and many other attractions. The incredible beauty of Umaid Bhavan Palace never fails to impress visitors. The palace has 347 lavishly designed rooms. Here you will also find a museum displaying royal artefacts like a collection of clocks, photographs, miniature paintings, armour, etc.
History lovers must also visit Jaswant Thada known for its architectural brilliance. It was raised in the honour of Maharaja Jaswant Singh in the year 1899. Here you will see carved gazebos, a tiered garden and a lake. Government Museum of Jodhpur also tells you a lot about the glorious past of the city. The museum has some incredible exhibits like war weapons, textiles, portraits, local crafts and images of Jain Tirthankaras (sages).
Leisure seekers must take a stroll in the Mandore Gardens adorned with cenotaphs and historical temples. The garden is dedicated to Rajput folk heroes and has numerous tales associated with them.
