Trichy

Trichy or Tiruchirappalli is a beautiful emerging town of Tamil Nadu. It is the 4th largest city and its history takes you to the 3rd century BC. The city was once ruled by the Cholas. The temple is known for hosting the annual festival of Thai Poosam. Also visit Sri Ranga Nathaswamy Temple in Srirangam Town of Trichy. The temple has a Dravidian style of architecture and houses 21 surrounding 'gopurams'. The main hall of the temple has 1000 decorated pillars.
